Young Entrepreneur Club (YEC) is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, including students, speakers, volunteers, and sponsors. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior within the YEC community.

Expected Behavior

All participants are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect, kindness, and professionalism
  • Listen actively and engage thoughtfully in discussions
  • Welcome diverse perspectives and experiences
  • Communicate constructively and with good faith
  • Respect the time, attention, and contributions of others
  • Follow the direction of session facilitators and chapter leaders

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not tolerated within YEC programs or events:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
  • Disruptive, disrespectful, or demeaning conduct
  • Inappropriate language or imagery
  • Unwelcome physical contact or attention
  • Deliberate misrepresentation of one's identity or intentions
  • Any conduct that compromises the safety or well-being of participants

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all YEC-related activities, including cohort sessions, events, and any online or in-person interactions conducted under the YEC banner.

Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to a chapter leader or contact YEC directly through our contact form. All reports will be reviewed and addressed promptly and confidentially.

Consequences

Participants who violate this Code of Conduct may be asked to leave a session or event, or may be removed from the program entirely, at the discretion of YEC leadership.
